Did you know that St. Pope John Paul II called the Sistine Chapel the "Shrine to the Theology of the Body"?
For the first time, you can now experience the Sistine Chapel and many other famous holy sites in Rome, Assisi and cities in between, with the world's most recognized teacher of the Theology of the Body, as Christopher West and his Cor Project team will lead a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable Italy pilgrimage Nov. 8-17, 2018.
Cor Project pilgrimages feature daily Mass, daily Theology of the Body formation from Christopher, opportunities for confession and spiritual direction with amazing chaplains, as well as world-class, experienced, licensed guides and drivers.
We'll visit the four major basilicas of Rome, the famous catacombs, the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, the Cornaro Chapel in Santa Maria della Vittori where sits the mystical Bernini sculpture of "Ecstasy of St. Teresa" that Christopher refers to so often in his presentations... and SO much more. We'll dive into the sumptuous food each day, relax at a Tuscan winery, explore the ancient Roman history of the Colosseum and Circus Maximus. And on the Wednesday of our pilgrimage, we'll participate in a general audience with Pope Francis! You'll also have several evenings and one full day to explore Rome at leisure.
Our pilgrimage will peak on Nov. 14 when the group will have a special private visit to the Sistine Chapel, where Christopher will give a reflection and pilgrims will have the opportunity to pray in silence in this magnificent place.
If you don't want to leave, you can extend your stay another three days and visit Michelangelo's Florence, St. Anthony's Padua, St. Dominic's Bologna and romantic Venice!
Christopher will be joined throughout by Jason Clark (worship leader and Cor Project co-founder), Cor media director and experienced pilgrimage organizer Bill Howard, and chaplains Father Patrick Schultz of Cleveland Heights, OH, and Father Paul Houlis of Ramsey, NJ.
