Where We're Going
Assisi, Siena and Orvieto
We begin with three nights in the beautiful country and rolling hills that St. Francis and St. Clare called home. We'll visit the major basilicas there, including the tombs of both saints, and walk the scenic narrow streets of this city — often called Italy's most beautiful. We'll also make a special trip to Siena, the home of St. Catherine!
Rome
We will move from the quiet of Assisi to the bustle of Rome for five nights. We'll visit the four major basilicas, including Mass at the tomb of St. John Paul II in St. Peter's, attend a papal general audience, explore the classic sites of ancient Rome and so much more. We'll get to pray and reflect in front of the famous Bernini statue "The Ecstasy of St. Theresa" that is prominent in Christopher's presentations and writings. We'll also enjoy day after day of delicious authentic Italian food and wine!
Sistine Chapel
A pinnacle of our pilgrimage will be an exclusive two-hour visit just for our group to the Sistine Chapel. After a brief tour of the Vatican Museums, we'll make our way to the Sistine Chapel, where we'll be guided by Christopher and have private prayer time. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the world's leading TOB speaker lead us inside what St. John Paul II called "The Shrine to the Theology of the Body"!
Optional Extension to Venice, Florence and Padua
Should you want to unwind for a few more days after the electricity of Rome, you can register for a three-day extension that will take you north to experience Michelangelo's Florence (including a visit to see the David statue), St. Anthony's Padua, St. Dominic's Bologna and romantic Venice.
Did you know that St. Pope John Paul II called the Sistine Chapel the "Shrine to the Theology of the Body"?

For the first time, you can now experience TWO HOURS of private group time in the Sistine Chapel as well as explore many other famous holy sites in Rome, Assisi and cities in between, with the world's most recognized teacher of the Theology of the Body, as Christopher West and his Cor Project team (worship leader and Cor Project co-founder Jason Clark and Cor media director and pilgrimage organizer Bill Howard),
will be joined by chaplains Father Patrick Schultz of Cleveland Heights, OH, and Father Ryan Mann of St. John Neumann Parish, Strongsville, OH, to lead a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable Italy pilgrimage Nov. 8-17, 2018

Cor Project pilgrimages feature daily Mass at stunning churches, reflections from Christopher, additional guidance and opportunities for confession and spiritual direction with amazing chaplains, as well as world-class, experienced, licensed tour guides and drivers.

We'll visit the four major basilicas of Rome, the famous Catacombs, the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, the Cornaro Chapel in Santa Maria della Vittori which is home to the mystical Bernini sculpture of "Ecstasy of St. Teresa" ... and SO many more masterpieces of art and architecture. We'll dive into the sumptuous food each day, relax at a Tuscan winery overlooking the rolling hills of Orvieto, and explore the ancient Roman history of the Colosseum, Circus Maximus and other classic sites. And on the Wednesday of our pilgrimage, we'll participate in a general audience with Pope Francis! You'll also have several evenings and one full day to explore Rome at leisure.

If you don't want to leave, you can extend your stay another three days and visit Michelangelo's Florence, St. Anthony's Padua, St. Dominic's Bologna and romantic Venice!
